TOUR OPTIONALS FROM SAIGON SGN-01 The China Town (Half day) Historical reminders of Viet Nam's past are abundant here and provide a striking backdrop to the rapid transformation of Viet Nam today. In Ho Chi Minh city we see charming colonial buildings along historic tree-lined boulevards, explore the Chinatown of Sai Gon and touring this exciting commercial district with its colorful markets as we discover a Chinese pagoda, which is distinctly different from those found in other part of Viet Nam.
Tour inclusions: Transportation, English speaking guide and entrance fee SGN-02 Historical Museum & Reunification Hall (Half day) This city's attractions provide a wealth of opportunity to learn about the country's ancient realm. The historical museum features a collection of artifacts and relics, representing the evolution of Vietnam's cultures. Later we drive to the Reunification Hall built from 1963, which still houses everything left after April 30, 1975. We tour the banquet room with a large oil painting, the State Chamber and the Cabinet room that was used for daily military briefing during the war.
SGN-03 Cu Chi Tunnels (Half day) We venture about 75Km northwest of Sai Gon to Cu Chi, an area that played an important role in the wars. This amazing tunnel system was used by Vietnamese guerillas operating against the US military forces and had initially started in 1945 during the French colonial time. Before driving back to the hotel , we explore the underground tunnels at different levels, see some of the shelters and sample the typical guerilla's food.
SGN-04 Tay Ninh & Cu Chi (Full day) Travelling to Tay Ninh, we find the bizarre Cao Dai religion, which combines various aspects of Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Confucianism, Taoism and Islam. We can observe the noon service, which is held daily from the cathedral balcony. On the way back, we stop at Cu Chi, famed for its elaborate network of tunnels and it is said to be approximately 215 Km in length. There is a chance to visit the underground shelters where the revolutionary cadres were living.
SGN-05Vung Tau (2 days/1 night) Vung Tau is located on a peninsula approximately 125Km southeast of Sai Gon and referred to as a popular beach resort, which bathes on sunshine all year round. Arriving the town, we have chance to relax on deckchair under gaily colored umbrella, swim off the shore or have a fresh seafood served by friendly locals. We also see most celebrated Pagoda Niet Ban Tinh Xa and the Villa Blanche with superb sea view.

SGN-06Phan Thiet (3 days/2 nights) Leaving Sai Gon's bustle, we head for the tropical setting of Phan Thiet, a new and modern resort that offers us an excellent opportunity of recreation. Travelling about 3hrs north, we arrive one of the international loggings, which set in beautiful grounds overlooking the private beach. During the stay we may visit the fishing habour and the impressive beauty of Mui Ne sand dunes. Swimming, snorkeling and relaxing is also the order of our holiday.
Tour Inclusions: Transfer Saigon- Mui Ne - Saigon, 2 nights hotel accommodation with daily breakfast. SGN-07 Phu Quoc Island ( 3 days/2 nights) Day 1: Take a flight to Phu Quoc. This tear-shaped island which is 48 km long and has an area of 1320 sq km, is ringed with some of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. We tour the town by pedicab. Sunbathing. Overnight in Phu Quoc. Day 2: In the morning we visit a fish-sauce factory and fishing village, pepper garden, primeval forest. Afternoon is free for sunbathing or self exploring the island. O/N in Phu Quoc. Day 3: Free until flight back to Saigon

Connections Vietnam arranges a 'meet' for you where you will be guided by our student volunteers. You may decide the itinerary yourself and enjoy the warmth and security of eager guides for the duration of your meet, or you may request that our students lead the way. If you choose the latter, expect the unexpected, as our students are advised to avoid the tourist hotspots and show you a part of the city that other tourists do not see. SGN-09 Discover Saigon (1/2 days) Choose your own itinerary whilst we look after you for two whole days. Our services include a 'meet' with local students, a cooking class inside a Vietnamese home conducted by the home owner, a social dinner occasion and a 'learn' seminar where you'll engage your brain and learn more about the country your visiting.
