HUE-01 Thien Mu Pagoda & Royal Citadel (Half day)

Taking a Dragon Boat, we travel along the serene Perfume River, visiting the sublime Thien Mu Pagoda built in 1601, which become symbolic of Hue’s peaceful beauty and was classified as the 14th on the list of the Imperial Capital’s 20 landmarks. There is also a chance to stroll the path of the Royal Citadel where the ruling Nguyen Dynasty and Royal Families used to live as we explore its many fascinating architectural remainders that survived after the wars.

HUE-02 Tu Duc & Khai Dinh Tombs (Half day)

Travelling through pine forest and lush hills about 7Km southwest of Hue, we reach the mausoleum of King Tu Duc, a miniature of the Royal Palace, which harmonizes perfectly with the nature surroundings. On the return, we visit the King Khai Dinh’s Tomb with completely different architectures from any of other Nguyen King’s Tombs. This burial place combines aspects of both Vietnamese and French influences, including the decorative styles of each culture.

Thien Mu Pagoda & Minh Mang Tomb (Half day)

We start our trip by boarding a Dragon Boat, cruising up the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, which is constructed in the early 17th century and learn about the pagoda’s long history. Continuing on, we travel further to the impressive tomb of Minh Mang King, touring its beautiful inside as we witness the majestic architecture and superb stone sculpture created by many anonymous artists from the whole country.

HUE-04 The DMZ (Full day)

The Demilitarized Zone is known worldwide as one of the places, which experienced the fiercest battles during the Vietnam War. We venture North in the morning, visiting famous and sobering site of the Vinh Moc tunnels, which are built by the local residents to live in after their village was destroyed in May 1965. We then leave for Ben Hai River that divided North and South Vietnam along the 17th Parallel, and have a glimpse at the extensive and remarkable Ho Chi Minh trail before returning to Hue.

HUE-05 The War Memory (Full day)

Departing from Hue we go north to Dong Ha and turn to Route 9 to Khe Sanh. First stop is Camp J.J. Carroll. Then we proceed to Khe Sanh with stop at the Rockpile. There is not much remainder in Khe Sanh Combat Base but some little things help you visualize what the history books say happened here. On the way back we also see the Con Thien Firebase, the concrete bunkers are still there marking the spot a few hundred meters away.
